Frequently Asked Dental Questions

We recommend patients visit our dental office at least two times each year. This is the recommendation of the American Dental Association, and our team agrees as these regular dental checkups give us an opportunity to help you keep your smile whole and healthy.

Can I bring my kids to Smiles by Martin?

We love working with young patients and our dentist and team have years of experience offering children’s dentistry in Grapevine, TX. Don’t hesitate to ask about our family dental appointments.

Do you treat patients experiencing dental emergencies?

We do our utmost to provide same day appointments for our patients experiencing dental emergencies. If we’re unable to see you the day you call, we’ll walk you through at-home care over the phone.

Why should I visit a dentist for sleep apnea treatment?

If you’ve been diagnosed with sleep apnea but find yourself unable to get used to your CPAP system, don’t achieve adequate relief with CPAP, or you travel frequently making CPAP less than ideal, an oral appliance from Smiles by Martin may be a better solution.

What’s a dental implant?

Implants are titanium posts used to replace the lost roots of teeth and provide support for any number of replacement teeth. Dental implants are a great tooth replacement solution for almost any patient.

Do you take my insurance?

We are currently in-network with Cigna and a premier provider for all Delta Dental PPO dental insurance plans. However, we are also happy to accept most out-of-network plans too and are happy to process and file dental insurance claims for most major providers. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to bring along policy documents. Our knowledgeable team will review your policy and do their utmost to maximize your coverage, so you can get the most out of your dental benefits every year.

What if I need financing to cover my treatments?

We work with CareCredit and Citi Health, third party medical and dental financiers that offer low and no interest financing plans for our patients.

Do you offer an in-house dental savings plan?

Yes! Our office is happy to offer an in-house dental savings plan from KLEER. Through this plan, you only need to pay a flat rate to receive essential dental treatments, including routine exams, cleanings, and X-rays. Not only does this make your care more affordable, but you won’t have to worry about deductibles, annual maximums, waiting periods or speaking to insurance agents over the phone. We encourage you to give our office a call to learn more about the details and how you can sign up today.
